Danielle Jordan is a Research and Policy Associate with Community Schools Learning Exchange. Her lived experiences made her acutely aware of social disparities early on in her life and spurred her to work in and with various organizations with a goal of liberation for all.
She began her career in youth development and leadership, with nonprofits and her local city recreation center. She then moved on to being a public school educator before she began working in learning and development to support and coach young adults leaders. While in her coaching position she became more involved with campaign and organizing work. She campaigned for the win of her district's school board member and became a founding member of an organizing organization to support systems change for schools in Miami-Dade. The role of research for action and change was made very apparent as she and her comrades worked towards supporting youth mental health in Miami and spurred her to continue in research oriented organizations.
She most recently served as a research associate with Stanford’s Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) where she developed tools, researched policies, interviewed practitioners, and conducted observations to evaluate and support center partners and inform broader policies to improve CA K–12 education.
Danielle holds two BAs from the University of Florida and received a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins School of Education (2020).
