Community school stories

What does it take to do this work?

The state’s recent and historic fiscal commitment to community school strategies is exciting, but we know that the implementation work ahead stands on the deep expertise of practitioners who have been focused for decades on advancing integrated, whole-child, whole-system strategies. Now is the time to leverage that expertise by lifting up local, practice-based knowledge across models and approaches that can support effective and transformative implementation of community school strategies.

The CA Community Schools Learning Exchange (CSLX) is partnering with Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) headquartered at Stanford University, the Consensus and Collaboration Program (CCP) at Sacramento State University, and other community school champions in the state to design and facilitate a community schools implementation stories project. Stay tuned for implementation stories from across our network, coming soon!
