The 21CSLA Alameda Regional Academy, in partnership with the Community Schools Learning Exchange (CSLX), is proud to announce Community Schools Essentials – a professional learning series for district, school, and community partner teams to calibrate on community schools strategy and language, identify opportunities for collaboration, and more.
Community Schools Essentials is a two-day event. Participants will:
Gain a nuanced understanding of what a community school strategy is and is not;
Clarify the objective of the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP);
Delve deeper into the enabling conditions of success to move your CS work forward;
Procure a preliminary understanding of core CS practices, systems, and structures
Unpack the role of Community School Coordinator as one critical piece in achieving your CS vision; and,
Understand the core components of Advisory Councils and Needs and Asset Assessments; and begin planning next steps.
Community Schools Essentials will be held in person at the Alameda County Office of Education, Hayward on the following dates (more venue and logistics will be emailed as we get closer to the event).
Day 1 - Thursday, October 5, 2023: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Day 2 - Friday, October 6, 2023: 8:30am - 3:30pm
